Dimensions Guide

Use of Dimensions in Our Filters:

We use the following suffixes:

(l) length
(w) width
(oh) overall height
(sh) seat height
(d) depth
(dia) diameter

We use Key Dimension on our product pages to highlight the most important dimension for each product. For chairs this is usually seat height (sh). For tables it is often length (l).

We feature sliders within each dimension filter for ease of use.

Here's How we Measure Products:

  • SOFAS: Are wide (w) cm and deep (d) cm. Seat height is (sh) cm. Overall height is (oh) cm
  • ARMCHAIRS & LOUNGE CHAIRS (armchair size but without arms): Are wide (w) cm and deep (d) cm. Seat height is (sh) cm. Overall height is (oh) cm
  • ALL DINING CHAIRS:  Are wide (w) cm and deep (d) cm. Seat height is (sh) cm. Overall height is (oh) cm
  • ALL TABLES: Are long (l) cm and wide (w) cm. Overall height is (oh) cm
  • BEDS, LOUNGERS, CHAISE LONGUES & SUNBEDS: Are wide (w) cm and long (l) cm with Overall height is (oh) cm. Bed height (minus mattress) is (b) cm

Standards for Segmentation of Tables by Type:

We typically segment tables (names/use) by Overall Height. Below are the standard heights we use. Please note that some segmentations are influenced by design factors, e.g., a table might be classified as a night table because it has drawers. Our filters in "TABLES" feature an (OH) slider to enable you to discover all tables by your required height.

Coffee Table: up to 46 cm. Some tables in this height range are also classified as Dining Stools if they seem compatible with this use. Hard ottomans might also fall into this category.

Table (Side/Night): above coffee tables but below dining table height, so between 47 cm and around 60 cm. Some side/night tables might also be included in dining tables if a version meets the height standard.

Dining Table: low dining tables start at around 60 cm. Our common height for a dining table is between 70 cm to 78 cm. It is key to coordinate dining table height with dining chair seat height. Our standard (SH) for dining chairs is 46 cm but heights vary widely. Best to choose precise seat height using our (SEAT) filter in "CHAIRS/STOOLS".

Console Table: our standard classification ranges between 78 cm to 95 cm.

Bar Height Table: any table above 100 cm high is classified as bar height.
