Availability Guide

We use the following terms:

Standard
Custom
Available Now/Quickship

Here’s what they mean:

Standard Products: 

These are products in the “standard” collections of manufacturers. However, they do not sit on a shelf! They are made-to-order and significant opportunities exist to customize both materials and colors.

These custom opportunities are specified in our text, although additional opportunities to customize such as stains or lacquers using the client's own RAL colors, use of COM, or seat height in the case of high stools are available.

In the case of Digital Wallpaper, these customizations can also include the scaling (moving, larger or smaller) of pattern elements in the image.

The products are called “standard” because they are part of the regular production of the manufacturer. Standard products account for more than 75% of our business. As a general rule, we expect standard products to be produced in factories in around 6 weeks.

Custom Products:

These products take two forms

  1. Products in collections which take longer than standard products to produce. This may be because they are entirely hand-made by a small artisan producer, or because the production process is intricate and requires more time.

  2. These are products (often at the drawing or idea stage) not in standard collections which we produce upon request from our clients.

In each of the above cases we check with the producer for a timeline for production. Custom products can take from 7 weeks up to 26 weeks depending on the request and the quantity required.

Available Now/Quickship Products:

These are products which have been made pre-order, and sit in a warehouse waiting to be requested. Only a small part of each collection is usually Available Now and not all manufacturers have such collections. Generally, these products are among each manufacturer's best-sellers and are produced in a single best-selling material or color. Often available only in small quantities so not usually chosen for contract projects. These products cannot be customized. We have 2 forms of Available Now products

  1. Products in a US warehouse. These products can usually be released and delivered in the US in two weeks.

  2. Products in a warehouse attached to a manufacturing facility in Europe. These products usually take one week to be released but then have to be shipped from Europe to the requested destination.

It may take longer than is our normal practice to establish availability as such products often sell out to residential customers.
