Joe Concra

Joe Concra brings a painter’s sensitivity to MDP’s Wallpaper Pattern Collection, translating the depth, rhythm, and tactile character of fine art into surfaces designed to shape indoor, outdoor, or in the shower.

Working from his studio in Kingston, New York, Concra uses traditional painting techniques to create work that feels both grounded and expressive. His compositions invite close attention, revealing an instinctive balance of gesture, color, and atmosphere that rewards repeated viewing and lends itself naturally to pattern.

Concra received his MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has exhibited in Seattle, Miami, New York, and other cities. His paintings are held in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.

Beyond the studio, Concra is deeply committed to O+, a nonprofit that connects artists and musicians with wellness services. Through this exchange, O+ strengthens creative communities across the country. His work for MDP reflects the same belief in art as a living presence—capable of bringing individuality, connection, and enduring visual energy to the spaces people inhabit.
