Modern Design Commentary: ECOTeak (ecological teak) comes from old teak beams recovered from the Island of Java, in Indonesia. They are repaired with recycled wood and sanded to highlight the original grain. The final finish is obtained by hand polishing with hemp cloths and shavings

The recovered elements are cut to size, repaired with recycled wood, assembled and sanded to highlight the original grains and veins. The final finish is obtained by hand polishing with hemp cloths and shavings. Some splits into the wood are characteristics of the product.
