MATERIAL DESCRIPTIONS

Material Descriptions & Features: CELADON: Celadon is a type of ceramic glaze, typically a pale blue-green color, that originated in China and is known for its distinctive color and translucent quality. The term also refers to the pottery items that are finished with this glaze. Celadon glazes are characterized by a slight translucency, allowing the underlying clay body to influence the final color, often creating a jade-like appearance.  PORCELAIN: Porcelain is a type of ceramic that is typically white, fine-grained, and translucent. It's made by firing a mixture of kaolin (a type of white clay), feldspar, quartz, and petuntse at high temperatures. This process results in strong, durable, and non-porous material. In Brick 143 it is mixed with Volcanic sand. This is a granular material, typically black, composed of fragmented lava and volcanic minerals, formed from the cooling and erosion of lava flows and volcanic eruptions. LAVA STONE: Lava stone is a wear-resistant material, polished and treated with a protective impregnant. The presence of micro-holes or surface irregularities is considered an intrinsic characteristic of the product. WHITE CARRARA MARBLE: This is a naturally compact material, wear-resistant, and suitable for dining purpose. It is treated with a clear matte protective impregnating agent. The presence of micro-holes or imperfections should be considered an intrinsic characteristic of this natural product.
