About Manufacturer: Isidore Leroy began printing wallpaper in France more than 170 years ago with a patent on a “simultaneous multicolor printing machine for paper hangings.” In its early days, it won International acclaim (awards at the Exposition Universelle in 1855 and 1867) for design and for its patent registrations for inventions and improvements, culminating in 1877 with the invention of the 26-color printing machine. Still today the company produces wallpapers using these traditional methods. In addition, it has adapted to new technology and now prints much of its collection using digital technology.
