Sarmiento's Resort

“Havana meets Miami Beach." Cuban colonial and modernist references filtered through Miami Beach’s Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and MiMo context. Miami Beach itself already has a strong architectural identity and the Cuban layer at Sarmiento's Resort had been designed to feel complementary.

This is a use case. The design teams mission was to update the location without losing its essential Cuban ethos. To see how the design team used Modern Design Platform, log into the account at https://moderndesign.io/collections/sarmientos-cuban-themed-resort-miami using sarmientosresort@gmail.com for an inside look at how platform features were used.

The account contains:

  • A curated project journey featuring initial selections
  • Project folders containing products being seriously considered
  • A Specification Engine request for prices
  • Emails sharing folder content with design colleagues

The team focused on large furniture pieces, some rugs & lighting and digital wallpaper as backdrop. Colors, fabrics, etc., are still be decided. See key elements of the design brief here.

Sarmiento's Resort shows how design teams save time on administration & logistics to spend creating inspired design.
