Materials

Material Descriptions & Features

ECOTEAK: Ecological teak is recovered from old teak beams and elements during the demolition of traditional wooden homes on the Island of Java, Indonesia. The recovered elements are cut to size, repaired with recycled wood, assembled and sanded to highlight the original grains and veins. The final finish is obtained by hand polishing with hemp cloths and shavings. Some splits into the wood are characteristics of the product.
